Formed in 1993 as AirTrain, this start-ups plan called for low fare service between Philadelphia -Pittsburgh and Detroit. In order to avoid confusion with AirTran Airways, the name was changed to JetTrain before flight began on January 27, 1996. Operations were suspended on November 2, 1996 due to intense competition and entering existing markets.
